Job Description

The Deloitte Generative AI Data Engineer III role is an onsite position based in Washington, DC, focused on architecting and delivering ML and AI solutions, data pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration to translate requirements into robust technical implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions for both business and client use cases
  • Create and maintain data pipelines, model training workflows, and production-grade components that support AI-enabled products
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns, generate insights, and support model development and validation
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product stakeholders, and business teams to convert requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Monitor model and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve accuracy, reliability, and scalability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • 3+ years designing, developing, or deploying machine learning, artificial intelligence, or advanced analytics solutions
  • 3+ years programming in Python, PySpark, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
  • 3+ years developing algorithms, model selection, training/validation/optimization, and evaluation at scale
  • 1+ years of technology consulting experience in the Federal Health sector
  • 1+ years of experience working with AI technologies such as Gemini, Anthropic, and OpenAI
  • Active or advanced certifications in Python, PySpark, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time, depending on project needs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

The Wage Range

The stated salary range of USD 131,000 to 218,300 per year reflects various factors considered in compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and organizational needs. The range may be adjusted for geographic differences where the role is filled. Deloitte may offer a discretionary annual incentive program, contingent on individual and organizational performance and program rules.
