Lead AI Solutions Architect (Lead AI Engineer)
Job Description
Lead the architecture and delivery of complex AI and automation solutions, from proof of concept to production and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve AI, automation, and agentic solutions by setting technical standards and guiding implementation through production deployment.
- Lead enterprise integrations that connect AI-enabled workflows, data services, and systems to business capabilities.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery for AI and automation initiatives, including proof of concept, production rollout, and ongoing support.
- Create reusable reference implementations, components, and engineering patterns for:
- Knowledge assistants
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions
- Agents
- Tool and API integrations
- Human-in-the-loop controls
- Citizen developer capabilities
- Define how stand-alone and embedded RPA workflows and AI agents fit into enterprise architecture, and guide engineers on secure, scalable, maintainable designs.
- Lead integrations across enterprise applications, data services, APIs, and approved AI and orchestration platforms.
- Establish and enhance engineering practices for version control, CI/CD, evaluation frameworks, regression testing, and release management for AI, agent, and workflow solutions.
- Define and validate nonfunctional requirements including reliability, scalability, performance, observability, auditability, and supportability.
- Implement approved controls for data access, identity, least-privilege, and governance in partnership with Architecture, Information Security, and Data teams.
- Lead technical design, code, testing, and production-readiness reviews; resolve complex implementation issues and provide escalation support.
- Build operational readiness through monitoring, logging, alerting, operational dashboards, runbooks, and incident response procedures.
