Anduril Industries is building and operating Counter-Intrusion technology that supports operators protecting people and assets on land and sea. On the Counter-Intrusion product operations team in Costa Mesa, this Product Operations Engineer helps architect how the deployed fleet is observed, maintained, and evolved to prevent incidents while improving uptime and reliability.
You will own the operational backbone for reporting and deployments, designing monitoring solutions and maintaining the runbooks and SOPs that keep both new and legacy products healthy at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain queries and dashboards for uptime reporting across the Counter-Intrusion deployed fleet, turning raw telemetry into actionable fleet health metrics
- Act as the product operations planner and executor for software changes deployed to towers, owning the full lifecycle from change validation through rollout and post-deployment verification
- Partner with tower software engineering to create and tailor monitoring solutions for new tower deployments so observability is included from day one
- Improve and optimize monitoring for legacy products by identifying observability gaps and reducing alert noise to highlight genuine issues
- Continuously author and refine runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides to keep operational knowledge accurate and accessible
- Assess and raise the quality of fleet observability and telemetry with product and engineering teams, helping set standards for effective monitoring
- Analyze fleet-wide operational data to identify systemic reliability trends and surface issues before they become incidents
- Define and implement process improvements for deployment workflows, incident response procedures, and operational tooling using data-driven insights
- Develop and maintain automation to reduce manual operational overhead across the fleet

- 5+ years of experience in a technical operations or engineering role with hands-on responsibility for production systems

- Experience planning and executing software deployments to distributed systems, including rollout strategy, validation, and rollback procedures
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash) with a track record of building tooling that improves operational efficiency
- Experience with software development tooling such as Git, and issue tracking tools such as Jira
