Within Sentry Analytics, you will help power real-time visibility for Manufacturing and Supply Chain, supporting production and supply chain decisions with reliable data, dashboards, and analytics tools.
What You’ll Do
As an Analytics Engineer on Sentry Analytics (onsite in Irvine, CA), you will own the data and analytics footprint for Manufacturing and Supply Chain. You will work embedded with the Head of Production and their leaders across production planning, purchasing, inventory, quality, and supplier management, turning operational questions into durable data products.
- Own the Manufacturing and Supply Chain analytics footprint end-to-end.
- Serve as a technical lead for data products supporting production planning, purchasing, inventory, capacity, quality, and supplier management.
- Partner directly with leadership to shape the analytics roadmap for these functions.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical systems that ingest, transform, and model data from ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, inventory, and quality systems.
- Ensure data quality, freshness, and accessibility for teams that depend on these systems.
- Develop dashboards and analytics used to support production decisions.
- Create data products from ad hoc analyses for rapid iteration to scalable dashboards and trackers for build status, PO health, inventory position, supplier performance, yield, and capacity utilization.
- Own the full product lifecycle, acting as architect, designer, and builder for analytics tools and iterating based on feedback from planners, buyers, engineers, and floor operators.
- Bridge technical and operational needs by translating data challenges into effective solutions across operational systems.
- Drive operational efficiency through quantitative analysis including inventory reconciliation, variance investigation, trend analysis, root-cause analysis, and demand/supply gap analysis to identify bottlenecks and unlock throughput.
- Enable smarter supply and production planning by sharpening safety stock, lead time, purchasing, and capacity models to provide a defensible view of what Sentry production can commit to.
- Continuously improve data products by incorporating stakeholder feedback as Sentry manufacturing scales.
- Document and champion data quality by ensuring data definitions, business logic, and methodologies are well-documented and understood across Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to promote data literacy and self-service.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, operations engineering, data engineering, or software engineering roles
- Experience building business-facing dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Palantir Foundry, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Streamlit, or similar
- Proficiency in at least one additional programming language such as Python, SQL, R, TypeScript, or similar for analysis, data visualization, and automation
- Enjoys untangling complex, messy problems and creating order from chaos in a rapidly evolving operational environment
- Track record partnering with senior operational leaders and cross-functional teams (planners, buyers, engineers, quality, floor operators) to translate business problems into technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to build full-stack solutions, including frontend development with React or similar frameworks when needed
- Familiarity with data pipeline concepts, ETL processes, or data engineering principles
- Direct experience working within ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, or inventory management systems, or building analytics on top of them
- Background in supply chain or manufacturing operations (production planning, purchasing, inventory, quality), including MRP logic, safety stock modeling, lead time analysis, or supplier performance
- Background in hardware product lifecycle operations, manufacturing environments, or complex hardware/software systems
- Experience working in fast-paced environments without a playbook, especially hyper-growth or startup settings
- Experience in defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, or mission-critical technology environments
