Everwatch is seeking a Software Engineer to build end-to-end software systems in a fast, agile environment supporting government defense and intelligence missions. The work extends beyond implementation, with an emphasis on architecture alignment, continuous improvements, and resolving client-facing technical challenges.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop complete end-to-end solutions to solve complex problems in a fast, agile environment
- Create software and systems from initial vision through production-ready delivery
- Learn new tools and techniques and determine where system improvements are needed
- Support clients in addressing challenging problems using modern architectural approaches, tools, and technologies
- Ensure team-developed solutions account for the current architecture and operating environment, while enabling future functionality and enhancements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience with WebSockets for real-time data handling and interactive features
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservice architecture
- Experience creating and managing SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
- Experience with OCI-compliant containers and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
- Ability to communicate ideas and provide clear status updates to peers and management
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a small team in fast-paced development and operational projects
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Software Engineering, or Engineering

Compensation
Everwatch determines compensation based on factors including location, the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $72.12 to $84.14 per hour.
