Provide engineering guidance for connection modifications, member reinforcement, and repair methods for medium and high complexity structures.
Document field observations, corrective actions, and engineering justifications following Allied Steel Buildings’ quality and reporting standards.
Support and mentor the Field Service team on structural behavior, connection design, and erection sequencing considerations.
Maintain current proficiency with AISC and AISI material specifications and current editions of ASCE 7, IBC, and MBMA.
Use sound engineering judgment to protect the public without over-conservatism in the design approach.
Research building code changes that affect field remediation and repair approaches, then recommend updates to Field Service procedures.
