Analytics Engineer

Primary Talent Partners is hiring an Analytics Engineer for a W2 contract based in Indianapolis, IN with onsite work. This role supports operational and analytical delivery for pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment workflows inside a HIPAA covered-entity environment, with a focus on metrics, dashboards, and data-driven insights.

The position centers on building and maintaining the analytics foundation that teams rely on to improve automation, accuracy, and quality. You will work with operational data to ensure reporting is timely and compliant, including proper handling of PHI and adherence to data-governance and data-separation requirements.

What you will do

• Support the recreation, validation, and ongoing maintenance of operational metrics derived from platform usage and pharmacy fulfillment data to improve automation, accuracy, and quality
• Ensure data availability, quality, and compliance across dispensing data workstreams
• Create and deploy operational dashboards for consumption within the Covered Entity
• Track and report performance metrics for stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate updates to reporting tools
• Contribute to consolidated, cross-source dispensing and reporting views that support filtering, grouping, and finance reporting needs
• Perform analyses using SQL and Excel to measure operational performance and identify trends or opportunities
• Translate data into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders
• Support issue resolution through data-driven problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration, including urgent operational challenges
• Contribute to KPI and data-strategy documentation
• Handle PHI and other sensitive data according to HIPAA, covered-entity policies, and established data-governance guidance
• Follow manufacturer vs. covered-entity data-separation requirements, especially around partner-level and patient-level data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, data science, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one statistical programming language: Python or R
• Familiarity with healthcare, pharmacy, or claims/dispensing operational data
• 1–3 years of work experience in a HIPAA covered entity delivering analytics and insights for CE Operations
• Ability to complete and maintain required data privacy, HIPAA, and covered-entity compliance training, and to handle PHI per established policies
