Light & Wonder is seeking a Full-stack AI Engineer in Austin, TX (onsite) to build production-grade agentic AI workflows. This role covers the full path from conversational user experiences through orchestration and tool integrations, anchored by the Microsoft Agent Framework (.NET), Azure OpenAI, and a modern analytics backend.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver production-grade agent workflows end-to-end, covering conversational UI, orchestration logic, and tool integrations.
- Build embedded and intuitive agent interfaces using AG-UI and CopilotKit to support a refined product experience.
- Implement robust orchestration with Microsoft Agent Framework (.NET), including tool calling, multi-agent patterns, and human-in-the-loop handoffs.
- Integrate with low-code platforms such as N8N for workflow edge cases to accelerate delivery while maintaining reliability.
- Develop comprehensive behavioral, regression, and adversarial evaluations for shipped workflows to support production reliability.
- Partner with Data Engineering on consumable data surfaces and with Platform Engineering on deployment and observability standards.
- Contribute to shared platform primitives and reusable templates, and participate in rigorous code review practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful production depth across both front-end and back-end development.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET for server-side work, including modern .NET versions (8 / 9 / 10), async patterns, and dependency injection. This is required.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React for front-end development.
- Experience shipping at least one production system that uses LLMs end-to-end, meaning real users, real reliability constraints, and real evaluation coverage (not a hackathon or tutorial follow-along). Multi-step orchestration or agent experience is preferred over single-completion-call systems.
- Demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar frameworks quickly and produce production-grade code while doing so; this will be assessed during the technical screen.
- Strong understanding of API design, auth, async patterns, and tradeoffs between streaming and request-response.
- Working knowledge of Azure primitives including App Service / AKS / Functions, Key Vault, API Management, and Entra ID, along with comfort writing IaC in Bicep.
- Experience writing evals for non-deterministic systems, including behavioral tests, regression harnesses, and human-rated samples.
Technology Stack
The team’s environment includes C#, .NET, TypeScript, React, Microsoft Agent Framework (.NET), Azure OpenAI, Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric, along with agent UI and workflow tooling such as AG-UI, CopilotKit, and N8N.
- Azure: App Service, AKS, Azure Functions, Key Vault, API Management, Entra ID, Azure (IaC with Bicep)
- Agent and orchestration tooling: Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, .NET Aspire
- Observability and evaluation: Foundry Observability, Foundry Evals, Azure DevOps Foundry-evals extension
- Automation and interoperability: Make, Zapier, MCP (Model Context Protocol), A2A (Agent-to-Agent)
- Additional listed items: MCP, A2A, Microsoft Agent Framework, Foundry-evals extension
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Physical Requirements
