Job Description

The Application Security Engineer - AI Trainer role supports the training of AI models for cybersecurity outcomes. You will assess AI-produced security material, contribute technical problem-solving for model training, and provide feedback that helps shape how future AI security reasoning develops.

Location and Work Arrangement

  • Location: Southlake, TX (remote)
  • Remote availability: work from anywhere in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand

Responsibilities

  • Assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, focusing on real-world accuracy and validity.
  • Develop and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
  • Create clear technical explanations and produce security-relevant code where needed.
  • Deliver feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

  • Cybersecurity experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or closely related areas, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Coding ability: some coding experience is required; the role involves comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • English proficiency: fluency in English (native or bilingual level) with strong writing skills.
  • Education: a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications (plus): OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar cybersecurity credentials.
