Job Description
Koru Group is hiring a full-time Civil Engineer for an onsite role in Naperville, IL. This position supports site and civil land engineering work with direct collaboration across design, field data collection, estimating, and construction oversight. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of extended hours as needed. Compensation is $85,000 to $100,000 per year, with benefits designed to support your health, stability, and long-term growth.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to create design concepts, plans, and specifications for site and civil land engineering projects.
- Conduct site investigations and surveys to collect data needed for planning and design.
- Support preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
- Complete take-offs and cost estimates for materials and labor.
- Use engineering tools and software for analysis and design tasks.
- Join project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Assist with construction oversight, monitoring progress and helping ensure work aligns with project specifications.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to help drive innovative solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in civil engineering.
- Land development experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in civil engineering (preferred).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, along with excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Experience with or the ability to learn HydroCAD stormwater modeling software.
- EIT certification with ability to become a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- EIT with ability to obtain Professional License in IL (Required).
- Ability to commute to Naperville, IL 60563 (Required).
Work Environment
- Office environment using standard equipment.
- Largely sedentary work, with occasional ability to move up to 25 pounds.
- In-person schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with potential for extended hours.
