Civil Engineer

Conrad Consulting is seeking an early-career Civil Engineer to support civil engineering, land development, and environmental projects in a hybrid work setting in Pittsburgh, PA. This position combines office-based design responsibilities with field assignments related to site and stormwater systems.

Role Overview

The Civil Engineer will contribute to project design and technical deliverables, including preparation of plans and engineering analyses. The work will involve using software tools to create civil design elements and supporting field activities such as site evaluations and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site plans, grading plans, subdivision plans, and land development drawings.
• Assist with stormwater management design, drainage calculations, and hydrology and hydraulics analyses.
• Develop erosion and sediment control plans and post-construction stormwater management designs.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create surfaces, profiles, cross-sections, grading plans, and pipe networks.
• Utilize GIS software to support project planning and analysis.
• Participate in field assignments, including site evaluations and project coordination.
• Work with project managers to support client communications, proposals, and project deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• 0–3 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or GIS software (plus).
• Coursework or experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control (beneficial).

Compensation

Salary: USD 70,000 to 85,000 per year.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
