Data & Analytics Engineer I or II (Time Limited)
Job Description
Snohomish County PUD is hiring for a time-limited Data & Analytics Engineer role on the Data and Analytics team. This full-time salaried position is anticipated to last up to 2 years (with an initial 90 days to 2 years time-limited period) and focuses on strengthening the organization’s data and analytics foundation while supporting Microsoft Fabric adoption and SAP billing/ERP cloud migration.
Based in Everett, WA, this hybrid role supports collaboration across engineering and business stakeholders. The salary range is USD 93,677 - 146,885 per year, with placement at Engineer I or Engineer II level based on education, skills, and experience.
What you’ll do
- Apply intellectual curiosity, business acumen, and technical aptitude to solve complex business challenges.
- Translate data into actionable insights using data science, data engineering, and analytics techniques.
- Provide technical support for the analytic application technology stack and deliver analytic consulting to business functions, management, and executive leadership.
- Support the creation, validation, and testing of new Microsoft Fabric materialized views, semantic layers, and Power BI analytics.
- Maintain a strong focus on organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Operate with a proactive mindset, taking initiative, following through, and delivering results.
- Build strong working relationships through effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements
Minimum experience: 2 years
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or related field
- Data & Analytics Engineer I: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or related field; Four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in data management, analytics, or information technology.
- Data & Analytics Engineer II: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or related field; Two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience in data management, analytics, or information technology.
- Data & Analytics Engineer II (alternate): Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in data management, analytics, or information technology.
Preferred experience
- Subject matter expertise in SAP and its respective Public Utility business processes.
