Data Engineer III
Job Description
Deloitte’s AI & Data team supports client delivery for analytics, reporting, and operational use cases. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows that move and transform both structured and unstructured data. You’ll also help implement scalable data models and data quality controls, with solutions deployed across cloud and enterprise environments.
Location: Rosslyn, VA (onsite, 100% commute into Arlington/Rosslyn/D.C.)
Compensation: USD 107,700 to 179,500 per yearly
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows supporting analytics, reporting, and operational use cases
- Develop, test, and deploy data engineering solutions across cloud and enterprise data environments
- Transform, validate, and integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple source systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable data models, data quality controls, and processing frameworks
- Support client delivery by documenting technical solutions, resolving defects, and contributing to continuous improvement of data platforms

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or artificial intelligence development
- 3+ years of experience architecting and deploying data pipelines, artificial intelligence agents, or machine learning models into production environments
- 1+ year of experience with hands-on PowerBI, Power Apps, or Power Automate
- 1+ year of experience designing end-to-end artificial intelligence solutions, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and cloud-based integration
- 1+ year of experience supporting BI, analytics, or technology programs in a mission-driven environment
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques (classification, clustering, regression, and anomaly detection)
- Active Top Secret level security clearance, preferred TS/SCI
- Must be able to commute onsite 100% into Arlington/Rosslyn/D.C.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with AWS and Azure AI products

- Experience with Python data engineering and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow
- Experience developing automation capabilities for document processing, case summarization, workflow orchestration, or content generation
Compensation note (Virginia): For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,700 to $179,500. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
