Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess ground conditions in underground workings to ensure safety and stability.
• Design, recommend, and optimize ground support systems, including rock bolts, mesh, and shotcrete.
• Conduct geotechnical mapping, data collection, and analysis.
• Develop and maintain geotechnical models and hazard assessments.
• Provide recommendations for mine design, sequencing, and excavation methods based on geotechnical conditions.
• Investigate ground control incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the development of short-, mid-, and long-term mine plans with geotechnical input.
• Collaborate with geology, engineering, and operations teams to ensure designs are practical and compliant.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in underground mining or geotechnical engineering.
