Information Security Engineer
Job Description
The Information Security Engineer will serve as an individual contributor supporting the deployment, integration, and operationalization of a Threat and Vulnerability Detection Platform across the enterprise. This role emphasizes operating systems and software vulnerability management, along with integration into security tooling to maintain enterprise-wide visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate Threat and Vulnerability Platform technology across the enterprise, including integration with security tool sets such as SIEM, XDR, and Reporting.
- Deploy, implement, and manage security controls to protect infrastructure, systems, and data.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and audits to support compliance with federal regulations and standards, including FedRAMP and NIST.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and develop solutions.
- Create and maintain security documentation, including policies and procedures.
- Monitor emerging security threats and technologies, and provide recommendations to support continuous improvement.
- Review, test, and configure scanning and reporting outputs for key stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior security engineers and other team members.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- At least 4+ years of experience remediating vulnerabilities on Tenable VM servers.
- At least 4+ years of experience responding to team requests such as ad-hoc scans, false positive investigations, and vulnerability risk review.
- At least 4+ years of experience reviewing scans for potential, successful, and unsuccessful scan results.
- At least 4+ years of experience with cloud service provider security concepts.
- At least 2+ years of experience maintaining and utilizing Tenable VM software and infrastructure.
- Due to FISMA, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- General knowledge of network concepts and Windows and Linux operating systems and administration.
- Scripting and automation experience, including AI integrations.

Location and Employment Details
- Location: Eden Prairie, MN (remote)
- Salary: USD 72,800 - 130,000 per year
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
- Remote Work: Remote work from anywhere within the U.S.
