Information Security Engineer

The Information Security Engineer at EverBank N.A. supports the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of security capabilities across the enterprise. The role includes evaluating security posture, assisting with vulnerability-related activities, and contributing to analysis and recommendations based on testing and incident-informed findings.

Compensation

• Salary: USD 86,700 - 117,300 per yearly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operations and engineering support for critical security systems and services, including servers, endpoint security, computer forensics, vulnerability/penetration assessment, mitigation, and security event management.
• Assist with vulnerability analysis and exploitation activities across applications, operating systems, and networks.
• Identify intrusion or incident paths and methods through testing and evaluation procedures.
• Help design, develop, and implement countermeasures, as well as support systems integration and tools for cyber and information operations.
• Learn and apply approaches to resolve malware and intrusion issues as they occur.
• Stay current on industry security updates, technologies, and practices to improve security management.
• Act as an internal information security consultant on standards, complex issues, and best practices.
• Support testing and analysis of complex software systems to determine functionality and intent.
• Maintain operational and configuration documentation, including creating and maintaining diagrams.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Risk and Security Operations teams to strengthen enterprise security posture.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 years supporting cybersecurity initiatives
• Security domain knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of threat detection
• Additional experience: 3 or more years of cybersecurity experience for a mid-large sized organization
• Email security: Email authentication expertise (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Secure Email Gateway: Previous experience with Secure Email Gateway administration
• Threat expertise: BEC and phishing threat expertise
• Incident response: Email incident response and forensics experience
• Certifications: Sec+, CISSP, or similar industry certifications
• Education: University (Degree) Preferred
• Physical requirements: Sedentary Work
