Mechanical Project Engineer

TLC Engineering Solutions is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer to support mechanical projects from early concept through construction completion in Tampa, FL. This onsite role focuses on leading project execution, coordinating across disciplines, and keeping technical delivery and schedules aligned for successful outcomes.

In this position, you will serve as a key interface between clients and internal teams, providing mechanical discipline expertise while guiding the project team through planning and execution. With hands-on involvement from start to finish, you will help manage both small projects and larger efforts where you may act as a secondary point of contact.

Role Summary

• Responsible for mechanical project delivery from concept to completion of construction.
• Leads project efforts by interfacing with clients, delivering technical excellence, and managing the project team and schedule.
• Directly benefits from in-house coordination with multiple other disciplines.
• Ensures mechanical work is effectively planned by scheduling and managing tasks for the mechanical discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects of all sizes and types through the full construction lifecycle.
• Manage project execution in all facets through client engagement, technical leadership, and coordination of the project team and schedule.
• Manage the project team and schedule to support a successful project outcome.
• Schedule and manage tasks specific to the mechanical discipline.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of experience in the architectural engineering consulting environment.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Engineer expertise in the mechanical discipline.
• Knowledge of construction costs and life cycle analysis.
• Experience managing small projects and/or serving as the secondary point of contact on larger projects.
• Ability to schedule and manage tasks for the mechanical discipline.
• Demonstrated success in technical and formal communication with clients and staff.
• Proven ability to represent the mechanical discipline at meetings.
