Job Description
The Security Engineer III role at Credit One Bank in Las Vegas, NV (onsite) focuses on supporting Security Analysts through deployment, maintenance, and day-to-day security operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and drive remediation for technical findings from vulnerability management, audits, penetration testing, and related security processes
- Support operational management of security systems used across the organization
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of security issues
- Conduct continual, daily research on the security landscape (threat levels, new exploits, and vulnerability research)
- Create and maintain security design and configuration documentation to support effective network solution delivery and ongoing improvement
- Partner with IT and other teams to address gaps in security controls or security solutions
- Contribute to the implementation of security best practices and security platforms
- Support Security Analysts by deploying and maintaining security tools
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience applying offensive and defensive security tactics
- Extensive knowledge of hardware systems, system software, networks, and application software development lifecycle methodologies
- Ability to build architectural documentation for new and existing projects
- Excellent communication skills, including strong verbal and written communication
- Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels across all departments
- Familiarity with audit and compliance functions
- Good knowledge of computer terminology
- Understanding of NIST standards and experience implementing required controls
- Inquiring mentality with analytical thinking and the ability to provide effective feedback when appropriate
- Ability to work independently with guidance limited to the most sophisticated situations
- Experience with security systems, including: SIEM, IDS/IPS, Next Generation Firewalls, DLP, FIM, SAST, and database security
