Senior Ai Engineer

What You’ll Do

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will design, develop, and integrate AI models and GPT/LLM capabilities into Powerfront’s core SaaS platform. Your work will include building features such as intelligent chatbots, automated ticket routing, sentiment analysis, personalized recommendations, and proactive customer support.

• Develop and integrate AI solutions that leverage GPT and large language models (LLMs) to power core product experiences.
• Implement Tool Calling within GPT integrations, connecting AI models to external tools and APIs for more complex interactions.
• Use data analysis on large datasets spanning customer interactions, product information, and retail transactions to identify trends and insights that guide training and optimization.
• Build systems with Vector Databases for embeddings-based similarity search and context management; work with Graph Databases and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) is highly desirable.
• Design and implement AI-powered services using serverless technologies, primarily Cloudflare Workers and AWS Lambda, with a focus on scalable, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously optimize AI model and integration performance for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and high-quality AI features.
• Stay current with advancements in AI, machine learning, and NLP and identify opportunities to incorporate new approaches.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI solutions, with strong focus on GPT integrations and Tool Calling.
• Strong experience with Vector Databases; Graph Databases and RAG implementation are highly desirable, plus familiarity with SQL Server or Postgres SQL.
• Experience with serverless technologies, specifically Cloudflare Workers.
• Proficiency with REST APIs and TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML; C# .NET Core is a strong plus.
• Understanding of AI risk assessment, including configuring Guardrails and familiarity with common attack methods against AI systems, such as adversarial attacks and data poisoning.
• Strong data analysis skills and proven ability to derive insights from large datasets; experience in the retail sector and understanding of retail customer journeys is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges quickly.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PhD is preferred but not required if significant practical experience is demonstrated.
