Build and ship AI-native, agent-based products end to end for CCC’s auto casualty business (injury side of auto claims) in an onsite role in Chicago.

Design and build LLM-powered agents and workflows, including orchestration, tool use, retrieval, and structured extraction
Implement human-in-the-loop review for complex decision and review flows
Own agent delivery across the lifecycle from prototype through measured production performance
Create evaluations with data labelers and subject matter experts, and run evaluations on every change
Productionize agents with guardrails and observability
Manage cost and latency for production systems
Handle sensitive health data with careful processing and safeguards
Own production code for agents that work with complex documents and claim data

5+ years of professional software or ML engineering experience, including meaningful recent work with LLMs
Strong production engineering skills in Python, including API services
Comfort working in TypeScript
At least 1 year shipping LLM-powered products to real users, including:
- retrieval (RAG, embeddings, vector search)
- prompt engineering
Experience designing evaluations for non-deterministic systems, with a habit of measuring before and after every change
Quantitative mindset: metrics, sampling, error analysis, and confidence in whether results are real
Demonstrated ability to ship faster using AI-assisted or agentic engineering tools, with examples to discuss

Within the first month: shipped a measured improvement to an existing agent
By six months: built agent is in production with customers, backed by evaluation results
