Senior Applied AI Engineer

Omada Health is hiring a Senior Applied AI Engineer to lead the creation and deployment of sophisticated AI models and applications, with a strong focus on LLMs and end-to-end AI solutions. In this role, you will work across design, development, deployment, and performance monitoring while partnering with product, business, and other engineering teams to drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of AI solutions that harness the power of LLMs.
• Influence business outcomes by deploying new solutions in close collaboration with product and business partners.
• Integrate industry-standard LLM APIs to add advanced AI capabilities into broader applications, leveraging experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Build models that drive business outcomes and iterate using data-driven insights.
• Ensure deployed models run efficiently through ongoing performance monitoring and adjustments.
• Deploy solutions using an Agile framework, supporting rapid iteration and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate actively within the Applied AI team and cross-functionally to iterate on ideas, solve problems, and achieve shared goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience deploying AI models with demonstrated business impact.
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and manage end-to-end AI solutions, with emphasis on Generative AI, prompt engineering, and fine tuning.
• Deep expertise using tools for generative AI interaction, including OpenAI, Bedrock, Huggingface TGI, Ollama, langchain, and llamaindex.
• Expertise with machine learning tools such as AWS SageMaker, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
• General experience with cloud ML platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, with specific familiarity with Sagemaker and Azure ML.
• Experience monitoring model performance after deployment and connecting results to tangible business impact.
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills with the ability to align stakeholders across functional areas.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and making decisions in complex situations.
• Commitment to staying current with new technologies and methodologies in the fast-evolving AI space.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies in fast-paced, iterative development settings.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in the intersection of healthcare and AI.

Compensation and Location

Location: Remote (remote).
Salary: USD 174,400 - 250,700 per year.
