Job Description
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing enterprise-grade data integration solutions to support analytics, reporting, and customer-facing data products, with technical leadership across engineering, analytics, and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using distributed processing frameworks and cloud analytics platforms.
- Design and optimize complex data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Guide data modeling and architecture decisions to ensure accuracy, performance, and scalability.
- Leverage SQL Server or equivalent relational databases, focusing on query optimization and performance tuning.
- Improve, automate, and monitor production data pipelines to ensure high availability and data integrity.
- Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.
- Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and documentation.
- Promote continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and process improvements within the data engineering team.
Requirements
- Substantial experience with SQL Server or similar relational database platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Proven track record building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Location: Hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN
- Schedule: Full-time, in-office a minimum of three days per week (four days preferred)
- Environment: Highly collaborative, team-oriented office setting with accommodations available for disabled applicants as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Extensive experience with SQL Server or similar relational database platforms
- Technical Skills: Advanced SQL and Python
