Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
About the Role
ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, develops lithography machines that help leading chipmakers produce faster, cheaper, and more energy-efficient microchips. ASML designs, develops, integrates, markets, and services advanced systems that enable customers to reduce microchip size and increase functionality, supporting smaller and more powerful consumer electronics.
This role sits within ASML’s Mechanical Development department, focused on designing and developing complex mechanics for some of the highest-precision products in the world. The position is based on-site in Wilton, CT, which includes both R&D and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will specify, design, develop, realize, integrate, and test modules and tools in close collaboration with cross-functional partners and suppliers. You will work with system architects and senior engineers in a multidiscipline project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, and create detailed CAD designs and engineering drawings delivered within system specifications, cost targets, and project schedules.
You will take full technical ownership and lead multiple complex designs end-to-end, with a broader view of system impacts and cross-functional dependencies. You will contribute to sub-module development and change, oversee functional relationships across domains, and drive solutions through significant technical uncertainty.
This position may require access to controlled technology as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). As a condition of employment, qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
