Sr AI Engineer

In this Sr AI Engineer role (AVP/VP), you will help define and deliver production-ready AI solutions for top-tier clients, including top investment banks or other esteemed organizations. The position is hybrid in New York, NY, with 3 days/week onsite required, and a Monday to Friday schedule.

What you will do

• Develop and promote a culture of engineering excellence across the team.
• Define, design, and deliver solutions at a top tier investment bank or another esteemed client.
• Build production-ready AI applications using RAG systems, LLM APIs, and AI agents.
• Perform other duties as needed.

What you bring

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with NotebookLM, RAG tooling, and Python libraries (NotebookLM or similar).
• Experience with Claude / Anthropic APIs, Claude Code, or equivalent LLM tooling.
• Comfort building production systems on top of LLM APIs.
• Exposure to Pinecone, Chroma, or similar vector databases.
• Understanding of embedding-based retrieval architecture and indexing strategies.
• Working knowledge of Lang Chain or similar frameworks for multi-step AI workflows.
• Experience with chaining, tool use, and prompt management at scale.
• Ability to build AI agents or workflow automations beyond simple chat interfaces, including multi-step reasoning, tool integration, and autonomous task execution.
• Awareness of governance topics in enterprise settings, including logging, monitoring, cost controls, and responsible AI practices.
• Published or maintained GitHub repos demonstrating applied AI work.
• Experience shipping AI products, building RAG systems, or deploying agents in production.
• Strong communication skills to partner with non-technical business stakeholders.
• Graduate-level degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
