Staff Software Engineer, Cybersecurity

Staff Software Engineer, Cybersecurity role at Bloom Energy focused on building and operating secure cloud systems and development workflows in a fully on-site environment in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

• Implement cloud security capabilities across IAM, network controls, secrets handling, and runtime protection
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines including SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning
• Secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Pulumi, including automation for compliance checks
• Enforce encryption for data in transit and at rest
• Support vulnerability management and incident response

Requirements

• ~5 years experience in cloud security and/or DevSecOps
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, plus CI/CD, containers, and IaC
• Strong Python and shell scripting (bash) skills; Golang is a plus
• Familiarity with software supply chain security
• Understanding of standard SDLC practices
• Proficiency with Git; familiarity with Jira and Confluence

Salary

• USD 114,800 - 165,200 per year
