Job Description

XPECT Solutions supports a Federal Government customer delivering secure, cloud-based mission systems. As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will help design and deploy scalable reporting and analytics capabilities, including data pipelines and high-performance dashboards that meet evolving mission needs. This onsite role is based in Crystal City, VA (1 day per week).

Responsibilities

Collect requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to understand complex data needs and emerging business objectives
Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance reporting systems and analytics tools
Build and optimize SQL queries, dashboards, and data visualization tools based on client requirements
Research and integrate disparate data sources while maintaining data integrity and security
Communicate clearly with clients and cross-functional teams, including delivering results in tight timeframes

Required Qualifications

Must Be Able to Obtain Public Trust Level 6C
On-site availability in Crystal City, Virginia (1 day per week)
5+ years of experience
Experience with Report and Dashboard Development
Experience with Relational Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Experience with AWS services: S3, RDS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
Experience with JSON and JSON format mediation techniques
Business intelligence and visualization tools: PowerBI, Tableau
DevSecOps tools and techniques: Jenkins, Git
Data management and aggregation patterns: data warehouse, data mart, data lake, delta lake, lakehouse, data mesh

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
