You will work on packaging systems and equipment for chemical products, partnering across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations to help deliver packaging that is safe, compliant, and manufacturable.

What you’ll do
The Packaging and Equipment Engineer leads packaging and equipment development from concept through commercialization for chemical products. Emphasis is placed on chemical compatibility, package integrity, product protection, transportation performance, sustainability, and manufacturing efficiency. You will evaluate packaging materials, equipment, and components for compatibility with chemical formulations, and establish specifications, testing protocols, and performance requirements.
- Source new packaging and equipment solutions for new and existing products
- Improve current packaging and equipment to enhance functionality, cost efficiency, and compliance
- Conduct package and equipment testing to confirm stability and adherence to shipping regulations
- Create, maintain, and update specifications for packaging used in manufacturing, and equipment sold corporately
- Develop and revise finished goods purchase specifications for equipment; coordinate with vendors so approved, signed specifications are in place
- Ensure product packaging meets applicable aesthetic, function, shipping, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with vendors for approved, signed documentation
- Perform other job duties as assigned by your manager
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Equipment, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in packaging design or package engineering
- Background in cosmetics, food, or chemical manufacturing is preferred
- Proven experience working with packaging suppliers on design, sampling, testing, and specification development
- Knowledge of relevant packaging testing procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdepartmental team
- Familiarity with departmental procedures and work instructions
