Kinnami Software Corporation is building the first minimum viable product for its AmiShare technology. This junior back-end role supports productizing a working prototype, with mentorship available from experienced team members as responsibilities grow. Responsibilities
- Support productization of the AmiShare technology prototype to implement the first minimum viable product.
- Build toward becoming a key team member leading the continued development of AmiShare.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 1 to 3 years of experience developing software in two of: C, C++, Objective C/C++
- Knowledge of Linux development and internals
Technologies you will work with
The team uses a broad stack across systems and application layers, including C, C++, Objective C/C++, Linux, Windows, macOS, UNIX, and development for Android and iOS. Work may involve multi-threaded and multi-process programming, REST, SQL (mySQL, SQLite), blockchain technology, OpenSSL cryptography, and peer-to-peer plus client/server networking. Additional areas include Python, web development, and kernel development on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Container and cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure are also in scope.
Desirable skills
- Knowledge of at least two of: Linux, Windows, macOS, UNIX, Android, iOS development, demonstrating cross-platform programming experience
- Experience with multi-threaded and multi-process programming and communications
- Strong understanding of best practices for modern coding, especially to avoid common security threats
- Some familiarity with cloud technology (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure)
- Some knowledge of REST and SQL (mySQL, SQLite)
- Exposure to blockchain technology, OpenSSL cryptography, peer-to-peer, and client/server networking
- Database application development, file system development, Python, and web development experience
- Container (e.g., Docker) application development and Kubernetes experience
- Some familiarity with mobile GUI development (Windows GUI or macOS GUI helpful)
