Doppel is building an AI-native social engineering defense platform that helps protect executives, employees, customers, and brands from phishing, impersonation, fraud, and other AI-powered threats. This Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on designing, training, and deploying the models behind Doppel’s detection systems, translating real-world adversarial behavior into production-ready capabilities.
You will work on both batch and real-time inference, with a strong emphasis on scaling ML systems alongside large-scale web data ingestion across diverse sources.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy models for batch and real-time inference to identify malicious or infringing content across diverse data sources.
- Collaborate closely with the Detection and Infrastructure teams to ensure ML systems scale with the volume of web data being ingested.
- Apply ML to problems spanning NLP and embeddings, similarity search, classification, and anomaly detection.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to turn observed threats into production detection systems.
Requirements
- Experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments.
- Comfort working with large-scale datasets and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Understanding of the trade-offs between research-quality models and production-ready systems.
- Interest in solving real-world problems where the adversary evolves constantly.
