This onsite IT Support Engineer I role is based in Dallas, TX, with an hourly rate of $25 to $41. The position focuses on hardware, operating system, and enterprise software support across a defined geographic area, handling straightforward issues and implementing practical technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration across diverse software and hardware environments.
- Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Collaborate with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance aimed at improving IT solutions.
- Manage local technical projects from initiation to completion.
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Support customers across multiple buildings in the area as well as remote clients.
- Travel within the local or regional area to provide customer support.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, Distributed File System, Print Services, and SCCM.
- At least 2 years of troubleshooting in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
- At least 2 years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and decommissioning experience.
- 1 year or more of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- Two or more years of networking experience, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, and TCP/IP.
- Two or more years of corporate environment support for Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems.
- Two or more years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
