eTags.com is seeking a senior full stack developer to design, build, and optimize web applications using PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, test, and sustain full-stack web applications.
- Enhance backend systems using PHP and CodeIgniter.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Craft responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces.
- Design and optimize databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
- Deploy, monitor, and support applications within AWS environments.
- Troubleshoot issues across application, server, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following established standards.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
- Implement application security best practices and access controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, QA, and other developers throughout the software lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including performance optimization and technical debt reduction.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in PHP (5.x–8.x).
- Extensive experience with CodeIgniter.
- Solid understanding of MVC architecture and software design patterns.
- Experience building, consuming, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT and OAuth.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and services.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with AJAX and jQuery.
- Vue.js, React, Angular.
- Strong experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB.
- Ability to design and maintain normalized database structures.
- Knowledge of query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Understanding of indexing, data integrity, and database security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch.
- Working knowledge of IAM roles and AWS security best practices.
- Working knowledge of AWS networking fundamentals.
- Environment configuration and deployment management.
- Application monitoring and troubleshooting within AWS.
- Experience using Git and modern source control workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience working in Linux server environments.
