Job Description
The AI Engineer role at Flexday involves designing, building, and deploying production-grade Agentic AI solutions for large enterprise clients across multi-cloud and multi-LLM environments, with emphasis on stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Partner with client stakeholders, product owners, and business leads to capture requirements, shape scalable solutions, and communicate progress with clarity and credibility.
- Design and deliver Agentic AI solutions suitable for enterprise-scale deployment.
- Translate functional and business requirements into technical designs in collaboration with product and business teams.
- Develop, test, and deploy AI components on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Own features end to end, from development through production rollout.
- Collaborate with remote, cross-functional global teams across multiple time zones.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Proven ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating workshops, leading solution walkthroughs, and aligning expectations with client sponsors.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and reliable follow-through.
- Ability to operate independently in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
- Solid understanding of AI agents, agentic workflows, and related patterns such as tool use, planning, memory, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Hands-on experience building agents using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent (professional or personal projects count).
- Knowledge of evaluating, debugging, and productionizing agent behavior in enterprise settings.
- Strongly preferred familiarity with Model Context Protocol servers and multi-agent orchestration patterns.
- Experience with LLM and Generative AI workflows, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning, and LLM integration.
- Background in classical machine learning, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Knowledge of computer vision concepts such as CNNs, detection, segmentation, vision transformers, or OCR.
- 2 to 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, primarily in Python.
- Proven contribution to large-scale programs deployed in enterprise environments.
- Understanding of full-stack development, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Disciplined approach to code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying on AWS or Azure; Google Cloud experience is a plus.
- Experience working with large datasets and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Docker and Git.
