AI engineer

Robotics Technologies is hiring an AI Engineer for an onsite role in Dallas, TX. This position is centered on R&D and deployment of AI/ML and LLM or agentic applications, with opportunities to evaluate third-party solutions, prototype for product readiness, and shape cloud-based architectures and workflows that support scaling from proof-of-concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and development on AI/ML technologies, architectures, and system approaches.
• Deploy AI/LLM and agentic applications to support proof-of-concept demonstrations, and help adapt solutions for production scaling.
• Explore and implement traditional AI, Gen AI, and agentic AI methods in relevant use cases.
• Track AI trends and evangelize emerging technologies across the organization.
• Evaluate and pilot third-party AI solutions to determine scalability and business value.
• Prototype new approaches to inform future productization efforts.
• Collaborate on data preparation and synthetic data generation strategies.
• Validate model performance, safety, and operational readiness.
• Contribute to AI system architecture and manage workflow implementations in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with AI Business Partners to align technical work with business needs.

Requirements

• Python, APIs, and relevant ML frameworks and AI tools (including GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, LangChain, ADK, ChatGPT, and MS Copilot).
• Experience with LLMs such as OpenAI GPTs, Google AI, and Claude, plus embeddings and vector databases.
• Ability to build and manage API integrations.
• Core competencies including Prompt Engineering, Model Evaluation & Design, and AI Architecture Design.
• Experience with data preparation and generation.
• Cloud experience with AWS and GCP.
