Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement control system logic and hardware to meet process system requirements.
- Create schematics that outline control system configuration and wiring, and develop equipment panel layouts using AutoCAD.
- Develop a Sequence of Operation document that details control strategies for the process under control.
- Lead design reviews with customers to support review and approval of design documents.
- Support system checkout and start-up of integrated control systems at customer sites.
- Produce final record system documentation and provide system training to the customer.
- Work on automation and control system integration projects across industries, including manufacturing production lines and data center building automation.
- Act as technical lead and guide lower level engineers and technicians.
- On smaller projects ($50K to $250K), serve as Project Manager.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience.
- BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- In-depth understanding of control systems, components, logic programming, instrumentation and controls design, and PLC systems (including Allen Bradley, Mod icon, Siemens, GE-IP).
- AutoCAD experience is desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ability to travel up to 35%.
