AI Engineer

Lenovo is seeking an AI Engineer in Morrisville, NC to design, develop, and implement AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities that support business process improvement and digital transformation. This onsite role focuses on building AI applications, enabling automation, integrating with enterprise systems, and continuously optimizing solution performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML and Generative AI solutions aligned to business challenges.
• Assist with implementation of Intelligent Process Automation (IPA), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and workflow automation initiatives.
• Build and deploy AI applications, intelligent agents, models, and data pipelines.
• Partner with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation and process improvement.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, data platforms, and existing business systems.
• Monitor and improve deployed AI solutions to enhance accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify potential opportunities to improve productivity and business operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Entry-level role with 0–2 years of relevant experience, including support for recent graduates.
• Foundational knowledge of Python programming and AI/ML concepts.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI applications.
• Basic understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and core software development principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, academic project, or research experience involving AI/ML development.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, or comparable frameworks.
• Exposure to RPA tools, workflow automation, or AI agents.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience contributing to AI projects, automation solutions, or process improvement initiatives.
