Job Description

As a Lead QA Engineer, you will join Tentek, Inc. to drive data quality and automation for pipelines and analytics in a hybrid Orlando setting. The role centers on defining QA strategy across the data lifecycle, mentoring teammates, and partnering with data, analytics, and product stakeholders to ensure accurate, reliable insights from ingestion to visualization.

Responsibilities

Spearhead QA across the data lifecycle from ingestion to visualization, establishing and enforcing QA strategies, standards, and processes for data validation, transformation, and reporting accuracy, while mentoring junior QA engineers and promoting a quality-centric culture across engineering teams.
Develop, manage, and execute test plans to verify data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and performance for reporting and dashboard solutions; perform advanced data profiling and exploratory testing to uncover systemic data issues.
Build, enhance, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks to support CI and regression testing of data solutions; collaborate with data engineers to embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Work with engineering, analytics, product management, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into test cases and quality metrics; act as the QA point of contact for data governance, engineering reviews, and UAT sessions.
Establish and enforce best practices for data quality assurance and validation; contribute to enterprise-wide data governance efforts to uphold standards for data accuracy and consistency.
Create and maintain QA dashboards and KPIs to monitor data quality trends and surface anomalies; proactively monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance bottlenecks; lead root-cause analysis for complex data issues with engineering teams.
Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, processes, and defect reports; communicate test findings, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data quality assurance, preferably with data pipelines, reporting, and analytics solutions.
Expertise in data testing methodologies, including data profiling, boundary and regression testing, and performance testing.
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data validation and automation.
Experience with QA frameworks and tools such as PyTest, Great Expectations, dbt tests, or similar.
Familiarity with BI and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI) to validate end-user dashboards and visualizations.
Strong understanding of data management principles, including data mapping, data lineage, and metadata management.
Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor peers, and influence quality standards across teams.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a focus on iterative development and continuous improvement.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Description

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Fire Protection Engineer to lead the design and coordination of fire protection systems for aerospace and industrial projects, including fire suppression, fire alarm, smoke management, and life safety, with QA/QC and field support.

Responsibilities

Design, specify, and provide multi-discipline coordination of wet-pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, and foam/water fire suppression systems.
Fire water supply infrastructure including fire water storage tanks, fire pumps, underground and aboveground distribution piping and associated appurtenances.
Outdoor fire suppression systems including monitors, spray systems, and exposure protection systems.
Addressable and non-addressable voice evacuation fire alarm systems including initiation devices, supervision devices, and audible and visual notification appliances.
Releasing systems for pre-action, foam/water, and clean agent systems.
Perform fire protection calculations including the hydraulic analysis of fire water supply and demand, battery calculations, and voltage drop calculations.
Evaluate building and life safety requirements including building area and height limitations, building construction types, fire resistive assemblies and opening protections, occupancy classifications, hazards, building egress, and active and passive smoke management systems.
Provide construction administration including coordination with field personnel to resolve design related installation issues, the review of contractor shop drawings and calculations, field inspections, and testing of fire protection systems.
Perform site evaluations and document existing fire protection systems.
Prepare project budgets and cost estimates.
Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.
Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and 3 years of fire protection engineering experience.
Bachelor Degree in Fire Protection or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
3 years of fire protection engineering experience.
Master Degree in Fire Protection Engineering.
2 years of fire protection engineering experience.
Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Strong knowledge of building codes, fire codes, NFPA standards, FM Global datasheets, military standards, and refinery/industrial API guidelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment, and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access authorization to facilities and data of existing and potential clients, including, but not limited to DOE, aerospace, military, food and consumer product manufacturers, pharmaceutical, laboratories, and others necessary to perform work.
Engineers in Training-EIT Certification Preferred.
NICET certification in Water-Based System Layout (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) preferred.
NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) preferred.
NICET certification in Special Hazard Systems (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) preferred.
