Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply AI technologies by leveraging current paradigms such as computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to address complex signal processing challenges and drive innovative solutions.
  • Contribute across the full system development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, integration, and flight testing.
  • Own critical tasks and lead technical teams to deliver high-quality, robust solutions.
  • Contribute to proposals and whitepapers to secure funding for AI research and development initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers to grow skills and ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI solutions, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Engage with other Lockheed Martin groups to identify opportunities for AI adoption and application.

Requirements

  • Strong background in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
  • Solid foundation in signal processing theory and application across domains such as radar, communications, electronic warfare, sonar, audio, or biomedical.
  • Experience with current AI paradigms, including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in AI or a related discipline.
