Responsibilities
- Develop and apply AI technologies by leveraging current paradigms such as computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to address complex signal processing challenges and drive innovative solutions.
- Contribute across the full system development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, integration, and flight testing.
- Own critical tasks and lead technical teams to deliver high-quality, robust solutions.
- Contribute to proposals and whitepapers to secure funding for AI research and development initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers to grow skills and ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI solutions, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Engage with other Lockheed Martin groups to identify opportunities for AI adoption and application.
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
- Solid foundation in signal processing theory and application across domains such as radar, communications, electronic warfare, sonar, audio, or biomedical.
- Experience with current AI paradigms, including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and effective time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in AI or a related discipline.
