Job Description

G.E.H.A, a nonprofit member association, offers a remote opportunity in Missouri with a compensation range of USD 74,683 to 94,479 per year. This entry level role supports the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and analytics solutions, working alongside senior engineers to keep models, data sets, and pipelines reliable and accessible. Responsibilities

  • Help design, build, and sustain data models, reporting dashboards, and data automation workflows that inform key business decisions.
  • Assist in staging data from multiple sources for integration into analytic models.
  • Monitor the performance of analytic solutions and escalate issues to senior engineers as needed.
  • Apply quality controls and adhere to department standards to meet quality, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation for models, user guides, policies, and procedures; support training on newly developed models.
  • Adopt a data governance first mindset to ensure HIPAA and internal guidelines for privacy, applying masking and encryption techniques when necessary to protect PHI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field, or an equivalent foreign degree; additional years of qualifying relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • PL300 certification or equivalent
  • 2+ years in BI, data science, analytics, data, or an equivalent space
  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, DB2, Snowflake) and data processes
  • Proficiency in building tabular and multidimensional data models
  • 2+ years using Power BI or equivalent tools (Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy)
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases
  • Understanding of scripting languages (Python, R, Java, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of the Insurance or Healthcare industry or an equivalent background
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular high speed internet service for a home office, such as fiber, DSL, or cable
  • Minimum recommended speed: 30 Mbps download x 5 Mbps upload
  • Latency (ping) under 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet service are not allowed for this role
  • A dedicated, interruption-free workspace to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
