Job Description

The IOPS AI Engineer role at Regeneron is focused on developing and deploying advanced AI solutions that address targeted business challenges within the IOPS organization. This position blends hands-on model work with the engineering needed to deliver reliable AI capabilities into production, alongside collaboration across product, data science, and software teams.

Based in Troy, NY, this onsite position supports end-to-end execution, from translating business needs into actionable AI to monitoring performance in production and refining systems over time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AI solutions, including deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, to solve specific business problems.
  • Train, evaluate, and fine-tune AI models to reach strong performance metrics.
  • Monitor model performance in production environments and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and build scalable AI infrastructure, including data pipelines, model serving frameworks, and cloud-based deployment architectures.
  • Optimize AI systems for latency, throughput, and resource utilization to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into AI solutions, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets used for model development.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership to support alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay current with advances in AI research and technologies to identify potential internal applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of AI algorithms and machine learning techniques (including deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision), plus familiarity with relevant software frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud computing platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, along with knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • BS/BA in an IT, Scientific, or Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering) or a related field.

  • Engineer: BS/BA in IT, Scientific or Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering) or related field along with 2+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sr Engineer: BS/BA in IT, Scientific or Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering) or related field along with 5+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary

USD 66,200 - 103,600 per year
