Cloud Security Engineer, Senior
Job Description
Senior Cloud Security Engineer role in Chantilly, VA on-site with Booz Allen Hamilton.
Responsibilities
- Assess and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation activities to verify IT systems meet Information Assurance and security requirements.
- Assist in defining the target state and risk thresholds, and analyze current state information to determine compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic objectives into doctrine and procedures that support defined goals.
- Evaluate applications, software, or specialized utilities to confirm adherence to software assurance best practices.
- Recommend tools and capabilities based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources to address RMF security requirements.
- Apply technical expertise while working with IC clients to ensure information assurance and security standards are met.
Requirements
- Experience developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans.
- Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience working in an Agile development environment using Jira for tracking.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification within six months of hire.

Compensation
- Projected salary range is USD 86,800 to 198,000 per year. Compensation is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
Clearance
- Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
