Communications Technical Support Services (CTSS) Cybersecurity Engineer

S2i2 Inc is hiring a Communications Technical Support Services (CTSS) Cybersecurity Engineer to provide advanced technical and analytical support for information assurance and cybersecurity initiatives for the Defense Logistics Agency. In this onsite role in Columbus, OH, you will support secure, compliant network and system architectures across the full system lifecycle in alignment with Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements.

This position requires substantial cybersecurity-focused experience, DoD-aligned certifications, and an Active Top Secret clearance posture. Responsibilities span from planning and design through development, testing, and integration, with ongoing monitoring and risk management to help maintain resilient configurations.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical and analytical tasks supporting specialized information assurance and cybersecurity projects.
• Integrate electronic processes and methodologies to identify, analyze, and resolve system-level and technology-based information assurance challenges.
• Analyze and interpret information security requirements to ensure compliance with DoD and organizational cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
• Use data-driven, systematic approaches to optimize workflows, organizational structure, and planning for cybersecurity operations.
• Provide security engineering support across the system lifecycle, from initial planning and design through development, testing, and integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help implement secure and compliant network and system architectures.
• Recommend and implement advanced security measures and controls to protect information systems from unauthorized access or misuse.
• Support continuous monitoring and risk management activities to maintain secure, resilient system configurations.

Requirements

• Minimum seven (7) years of relevant IT experience, including cybersecurity or information assurance engineering responsibilities.
• Proven experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts in federal environments (including Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, federal civil agencies, or military organizations).
• DoD 8570 / 8140 CND-IS CND-IS certification required (examples: CEH, CFR, GCIA, or GCIH).
• Computing environment certification required: F5 Certified Technology Specialist, BIG-IP ASM (F5-CTS ASM).
• DoD-approved 8570 baseline certification at IAT Level III (examples: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or CISSP Associate, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP).
• Active Top Secret clearance with favorable NACLC and eligibility for IT-I (Tier 5 / SSBI) Critical-Sensitive clearance.

Work Schedule

• On-site, 5 days per week.

Compensation: USD 150,000 - 173,000 per year.

Clearance

• Active Top Secret (TS) with favorable NACLC eligibility.
• Eligibility for IT-I (Tier 5 / SSBI) Critical-Sensitive clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting similar contracts, with in-depth understanding of customer environments, requirements, and operational landscapes.
• Hands-on experience with BIG-IP ASM policy engineering, including policy creation, tuning, and production operations in blocking mode.
• Experience working in a DLA environment, including DLA Land and Maritime, DLA Aviation, or DLA J6.
