Cyber Identity - CIAM Security Engineer/Consultant

Deloitte’s Cyber team supports organizations with identity and access programs that strengthen trust and safety across online communications and digital products. In this onsite Chicago role, you’ll help clients deliver consumer confidence by ensuring the integrity of access to data while supporting end-to-end CIAM engagements.

What you’ll do

As a Security Engineer/Consultant focused on CIAM, you will design, implement, configure, and support customer identity and access management solutions across CIAM platforms. Your work spans requirements gathering through solution design, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Support the design and implementation of Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions aligned to client digital transformation and security objectives.
• Participate in full-lifecycle CIAM work, including requirements gathering, current-state assessment, solution design, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Configure and support CIAM capabilities across Transmit Security, Ping Federate, Okta, and ForgeRock, covering authentication, federation, registration, multi-factor authentication, adaptive access, and customer identity lifecycle processes.
• Convert business and technical requirements into scalable identity solutions, and develop delivery artifacts such as documentation, process flows, and test plans to support implementation and client readiness.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, cyber specialists, developers, testers, and alliance/vendor teams to drive delivery milestones, resolve issues, and maintain trusted client relationships through quality delivery.

What you bring

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or a relevant field.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• 2+ years of experience within Identity and Access Management.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with customization of Transmit Security and Ping Identity tools (must).
• Ability to travel 25-50% on average based on work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Nice to have

• Previous consulting or Big 4 project management experience preferred.
• Certifications such as Ping Identity/Transmit Security, CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus.
• Experience integrating Identity solutions such as Transmit Security and Ping Identity with diverse applications, directories, and identity sources.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues and incidents efficiently.
• Strong working knowledge of advanced authentication protocols including SAML, OAuth, and WS-Fed.
• Skills in documenting configurations, processes, and procedures for maintenance and future reference.
• Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues proactively.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is USD 82,600 - 162,800 per year (estimated based on factors used in making compensation decisions).
