Cyber Systems Security Engineer

The Cyber Systems Security Engineer is responsible for protecting sensitive information and leading test planning, verification, evaluation, and analysis of program information, cost, and risk for Lockheed Martin's Syracuse-based System Security Team.

Responsibilities

• Developing solutions to protect sensitive information and systems.
• Leading technical planning, verification, evaluation, and analysis of critical program information, cost, and risk.
• Supporting capture efforts and future capabilities to stay ahead of emerging threats.
• Coordinating and executing test events both internally and externally.
• Engaging with internal and external customers and auditors to address technical concerns and resolve issues.
• Communicating effectively with program personnel, executives, and government officials.
• Developing and coordinating test strategies, plans, procedures, and reports across programs to ensure thorough validation and program success.

Requirements

• Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience.
• Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems.
• Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CISSP).
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting; US citizenship required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
