Job Description

The Cybersecurity CSfC Engineer role at General Dynamics Information Technology is based onsite in Washington, DC, concentrating on the design and deployment of CSfC based secure communications solutions. The position emphasizes DAR and DiT architectures and strict adherence to NSA CSfC standards to maintain robust, secure systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CSfC based secure communications solutions in line with CSfC standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain Data-at-Rest (DAR) and Data-in-Transit (DiT) compliant architectures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure systems meet operational requirements for data security and classified communications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CSfC related technical challenges promptly and effectively.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity technologies and CSfC updates to continually enhance solutions and compliance.
  • Create technical documentation supporting CSfC deployments, including system design plans, configuration baselines, and compliance reports.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of CSfC implementations to identify and remediate security gaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum 7+ years of professional cybersecurity experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on work with CSfC capability packages.
  • Solid knowledge of secure system engineering and communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with the NSA CSfC program, guidelines, policies, and standards.
  • Current Top Secret clearance.
  • Location: Onsite in Washington, DC, with occasional hybrid work allowed.

  • Valid U.S. Passport
  • DoD 8140 IAT II compliant

Salary and Benefits Information

The likely salary range for this position is $199,750 - $270,250 per year. This is not a guaranteed figure; compensation is determined by experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside this range. View information about benefits and our total rewards program.
