Cybersecurity Engineer - Vulnerability Scanning

Electrosoft is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer focused on vulnerability scanning to strengthen security-engineering support across the information systems lifecycle. This onsite role in Columbus, OH supports planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration activities, with an emphasis on resolving cybersecurity requirements in a DoD environment.

The position combines requirement analysis with structured problem-solving, helping translate security needs into engineering execution while addressing system and technology challenges related to vulnerability scanning and overall security posture.

Role focus

• Provide security-engineering support spanning planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems.
• Apply analytical and systematic approaches to resolve problems involving workflow, organization, and planning.
• Analyze information security requirements and support cybersecurity problem resolution in a DoD setting.
• Support resolution of total system issues, as well as technology problems tied to cybersecurity requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized cybersecurity problems.
• Apply analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of workflow, organization, and planning problems.
• Resolve system or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements.

Required qualifications

• 7 years of relevant IT experience.
• DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at the time of proposal submission.
• Primary DCWF Work Role 521: Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support; Proficiency Level: Intermediate.
• Secondary DCWF Work Role 451: System Administrator; Proficiency Level: Intermediate.
• Computing environment: ACAS Administrator.
• 4 years of experience maintaining vulnerability scanning solutions in a DoD environment.
