Data Engineer

The Business Intelligence Developer role sits within Global Payments’ Business Intelligence & Data Solutions Team. In this onsite position in Atlanta, GA, you will design and deliver scalable data warehouse and business intelligence capabilities that convert complex information into actionable insights for business decision-making and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable business intelligence solutions that provide stakeholders with actionable insights, enabling faster and more informed business decisions across the organization.
• Drive the evolution of data warehouse architecture by building dependable, high-performing data foundations to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and business visibility.
• Use data storytelling and analytics to influence strategic outcomes by uncovering opportunities, addressing complex business challenges, and improving operational performance.
• Identify enhancements to data processes, technologies, and reporting capabilities to support continuous improvement and create long-term business value.
• Increase enterprise-wide data confidence and adoption by delivering trusted business intelligence products that strengthen decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting data warehouse and business intelligence solutions in a complex business environment.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including Transact-SQL (T-SQL), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements, translate them into scalable data solutions, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate complex data challenges, recommend effective solutions, and drive results independently.
• A collaborative and growth-focused mindset, with experience partnering with stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and influencing positive change through data.
