Data Engineer

This onsite role in Charlotte, NC focuses on delivering reliable data integrations that help client implementations reach go-live with confidence. You will manage migration into the DealCloud platform and work closely with clients and internal teams to keep data accurate from mapping through testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of client data into the DealCloud platform.
• Collect client data migration requirements and translate them into accurate technical solutions for integration and go-live.
• Execute ETL work, including extracting data from client legacy systems, transforming it, mapping it, and loading it for client projects.
• Validate and reconcile client data to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout migration and deployment.
• Support platform configuration and data integration tasks following DealCloud best practices.
• Lead QA and testing efforts to support successful deployment of client solutions.
• Contribute to internal project management activities, including documentation, status reporting, and escalation handling.
• Act as a secondary resource for client-facing work such as requirement gathering, solution design, and post-go-live support.

Requirements

• Experience in professional services, consulting, or other client-facing roles within a SaaS organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or related experience.
• 3+ years of experience with ETL processes and tools, data integration, or technical delivery.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms or financial services technology.
• Proficiency in data manipulation using Excel, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures, normalization, and mapping techniques.
• Ability to recognize simple data issues and help drive solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DealCloud or a similar financial services platform.
• Knowledge of investment banking, private equity, or legal workflows.
• Exposure to Agile or iterative delivery methodologies.
