An on-site Data Engineer II role in Austin, Texas invites you to join Amazon's OIS/CXI Analytics team within the Ops Tech Solution Network Dev group. The role centers on designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ML-ready data infrastructure to power OpsTech operations and GenAI initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is key to delivering production-grade data solutions that support global operations.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines and big data infrastructure supporting OTS operational intelligence.
- Create feature engineering workflows and ML-ready data pipelines that enable Data Science experimentation and production model serving.
- Contribute to data governance and quality standards across analytical and ML data products.
- Support the implementation of GenAI solutions for automated reporting, diagnostics, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
- Develop semantic layers and dashboard data models that power worldwide operations business selections.
- Partner with Program Managers, BI teams, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and operational stakeholders to prioritize work aligned with OTS business goals.
- Follow and contribute to best practices for data engineering, including code reviews, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience.
- 1+ year of developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using ETL/ELT processes.
- 1+ year of developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using OLAP technologies.
- 1+ year of developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using data modeling.
- 1+ year of developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using SQL.
- 1+ year of developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using Oracle.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent.
