Data Engineer III (Secret Clearance Required)

Deloitte's AI & Data team in Arlington, VA is seeking a Data Engineer III to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows that power analytics, reporting, and operations. This on-site role collaborates across cloud and enterprise data environments to implement scalable data models and contribute to client delivery within the Government & Public Services practice.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases
• Developing, testing, and deploying data engineering solutions across cloud and enterprise data environments
• Transforming, validating, and integrating structured and unstructured data from multiple source systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement scalable data models, data quality controls, and processing frameworks
• Supporting client delivery by documenting technical solutions, resolving defects, and contributing to continuous improvement of data platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or artificial intelligence development
• 3+ years of experience architecting and deploying data pipelines, artificial intelligence agents, or machine learning models into production environments
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with PowerBI, Power Apps, or Power Automate
• 1+ year of experience designing end-to-end artificial intelligence solutions, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and cloud-based integration
• 1+ year of experience supporting BI, analytics, or technology programs in a mission-driven environment
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques (classification, clustering, regression, and anomaly detection)
• Active Top Secret security clearance, preferred TS/SCI
• Must be able to commute onsite 100% into Arlington/Rosslyn/DC
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
