Design Systems Engineer

General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc seeks a Design Systems Engineer to drive concept development and system engineering for USN submarine mechanical systems on seaborne platforms. The role concentrates on exploring new capabilities and technologies to benefit both the platform and the warfighter, working within a cross-functional team to shape next-generation underwater systems. This position operates with a hybrid work arrangement in McLeansville, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• As a Systems Engineer for Seaborne Platform Systems, contribute to concept development and system engineering for USN submarine mechanical systems, emphasizing new and emerging capabilities and technologies for the platform and warfighter.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with at least 6 months of relevant experience.
• DoD Secret security clearance required at time of hire; applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary

• USD 100,219 - 111,180 per year
